Supplies needed:
- sandal flap
- transfer
- teflon sheets
- hot tape or repositionable spray
- needle-nose pliers or screwdriver


Heat press settings:
- temperature - 390 degrees F
- dwell time - 50 seconds
- pressure - medium

Note: The recommended settings above may need adjustments for best results.
Settings will vary depending on the heat press brand and model ink and paper
and atmospheric conditions.

2nd Note: To adhere the transfer to the flap use repositionable spray or heat tape.

3rd Note: It is important to hang the rubber knobs of the flap off the side of
the press. The rubber knobs will melt if put in the press.

Layer the press from the bottom pad to the top heat platen as follows:
1. teflon sheet
2. flap
3. transfer
4. teflon sheet or scratch paper

Steps:
1. Spray the transfer with re-positionable spray.
3. Position the transfer onto the flap.
4. Place the transfer and flap in the press with the rubber knobs hanging
off the side of the press. (transfer on top of flap).
5. Place the teflon sheet over the flap and transfer.
6. Press the items using the settings listed above.
7. Remove items from the press and remove the transfer from the flap. Use
heat gloves if necessary as items will be hot.
8. Allow flap to cool before attaching the to the sandal.
9. To attach the flap use a needle-nose pliers or screwdriver to push the
rubber knobs into the holes on the sandal.


Tips:
- If the image of the final product appears light increase the pressure or
the dwell time slightly (10-20 seconds).
- If the image on the final product appears blurred or substrate appears
yellowed reduce the dwell time slightly (10-20 seconds).
- If the final product appears to have a double image that indicates that the
substrate and tranfer have moved during the release of pressure. Remove the
transfer quickly as the pressure is being released on the press.
